After we published a list of children's books for Pride Month, CR Pride asked us to also make lists for middle school and high school students.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States by marking the day the news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865. 

The library's big summer performance series is underway. In the coming weeks, there will be music, magic, storytelling, live animals, and even interactive dinosaurs, all of it free and open to all ages.

To celebrate Pride Month, librarian Renee Greenlee shared this list of picture books that celebrate the lives and families of LGBTQ+ people.

Talking to children about grief is not easy. Patron Service Specialist Abby Cornelison put together this list of books about grief for children after a patron asked her for help finding books to share with her children who had recently lost someone they loved. 

As of May 1, 2023, hoopla and cloudLibrary borrows will be limited to 10 per month. Patrons will be able to borrow up to 10 titles each month from either service.

Today is National Right to Read Day, the first day of National Library Week. Throughout the week we’ll be celebrating the ways our staff serve our community, but there is a reason we are celebrating the right to read first and foremost.
