2024 Annual Report
In Fiscal Year 2024, our circulation and visitor numbers increased as our dedicated staff made tremendous efforts to welcome people back into our spaces and reconnect them with our services. We ramped up our outreach initiatives and successfully revived many large-scale programs that were put on hold or reduced during the pandemic.
We have also seen continued growth in digital circulation and database usage, as well as increased use of our computers and meeting rooms.

The Strategic Plan
At the Cedar Rapids Public Library, we believe in the power of welcome. Our mission, Welcome to All, is at the foundation of everything we do. The Cedar Rapids Public Library’s 2026-2027 Strategic Plan outlines our priorities for the coming two years, shaped by the voices of our community, staff, Trustees, and partners.
We have identified three new strategic priorities: Access, Connection, and Service. With your support, the library is ready to meet the moment - welcoming all, connecting many, and serving with purpose.
