VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is an IRS program designed to help low- and moderate-income taxpayers complete their annual tax returns at no cost. Appointments will open in January 2026. Click here for more information.

IRS Virtual Service Delivery (VSD)

At the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center, they see taxpayers by appointment. Many tax issues can be resolved when you call for an appointment and when you visit IRS.gov. For more information visit IRS.gov.

To schedule, cancel, or ask questions about a VSD appointment, please call the Tax Assistance Call Center: 844-545-5640. Library staff cannot assist with making or adjusting appointments.

IRS Free File

IRS Free File is now open. IRS Free File lets qualified taxpayers prepare and file federal income tax returns online using guided tax preparation software. It’s safe, easy and no cost to you. Those who don’t qualify can still use Free File Fillable Forms.
