Children and caregivers are invited to a story time designed for attendees with multi-sensory needs, including low lights, reduced sounds, and opportunities for social interaction and play.

Staff from the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission will be in the Commons at the Downtown Library on the first Thursday of the month from 2-4 pm. Feel free to stop by and chat with them about your questions and concerns. 

Join us weekly for Tango Práctica (practice), where you will learn the basic steps of tango and grow your skills in an encouraging, welcoming group. No partner required. Smooth-soled shoes recommended. 

Learn about the upcoming Houby Days Festival in Cedar Rapids and other aspects of Czech and Slovak culture and history, presented by the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.

Orchestra Iowa presents a free concert designed for preschool-aged children. Performances are held from 9:30-10:15 am and 10:30-11:15 am. March features a woodwind quintet and May highlights a brass quintet.

Learn and practice the gentle forms of Tai Chi in this 12-week series with Bryan Bruner of Heritage Area Agency on Aging. Skills will build on each other from the first session to the last. The series runs Feb. 20-May 8.
