Friends of the Library Big Blowout Sale

The Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library is hosting a one‑day‑only Big Blowout Book Sale on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every used book in the collection is just one dollar.

A spacious section of the basement of the historic Cherry Building, 329 10th Ave. SE, transforms into a book-buyer’s haven, packed with an unbelievable mix of great‑quality books at can’t‑miss prices. Vintage books, classic book sets, fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, kids’ titles, and surprises around every corner — all for a single dollar per book.

Proceeds support the literacy programs of the Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library and the Friends’ $250,000 pledge to the Inspiring Big Dreams capital campaign for the new Busse Branch of the library on Cedar Rapids’ westside.
