Come play some tabletop games with us! Bring your favorite indie RPG to share with the group or try a new game that one of our GMs has prepared. No experience necessary. 

Have you ever wanted to learn more about llamas and alpacas? Prairie Patch Farm will bring two llamas (or alpacas) for attendees to learn about and meet! 

Join us for a fun-filled story time for children ages 2-5. This high-energy story time features stories, songs, parachute play, and bubbles! 

A 15-minute story and song program for newborns to three-year-olds, followed by a 45-minute playtime. 

Teens ages 12-18 are invited to participate in the library’s Teen Advisory Club. 

Everyone is invited to tell a two-five minute story from the “Stump” at Cedar Rapids Public Library.

Come to the Tiny Grand Opening at Ladd Library from 5:30-6 pm and see all of the amazing art you and your neighbors made! Tiny refreshments provided.

This charming English adaptation of the Czech opera Rusalka, composed by Dvořák, offers a happy ending for the mermaid Rusalka and her prince. This is the CRO's Season 28 children's outreach opera.

The Between the Covers book group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 10 am. If you enjoy reading and good conversation in a relaxed atmosphere, then this is the book group for you. Anyone is welcome.

Discussion books for fall:

Teens will learn skills related to our Maker Spaces and equipment, such as sewing, the 3D Printer, and an introduction to basic designs using computer software. This club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
