Computer Basics for English Learners

Are you learning English and new to computers? This beginner-friendly class is designed for adults who are building both their English and their basic computer skills.

In this presentation-style session, we’ll introduce simple computer concepts using clear language and helpful visuals. Topics include basic computer parts, using a mouse and keyboard, common technology words, and an introduction to the internet. The class is taught at a comfortable pace, with time to listen, learn, and ask questions.

This class is a great first step to help prepare participants for the Northstar Digital Literacy program (hosted Mondays in the Opportunity Center), where you can continue developing your digital skills and work toward certificates.

No computer experience is needed. Basic English understanding is helpful, and all learners are welcome in this supportive environment.
