Library Closed May 3

Both locations of the Cedar Rapids Public Library will be closed on Friday, May 3, for all-staff training.

The holiday season is here, and the library has a full schedule of music for patrons to enjoy, including the return of Merry TubaChristmas at the Downtown Library and a "Nutcracker" music class for kids.

 

Family Music Class with Orchestra Iowa

In anticipation of the upcoming production of "The Nutcracker" ballet, Orchestra Iowa is providing a free family music class! Children ages 2-10 will enjoy following along with the story of "The Nutcracker" through music and movement.

Melissa Caminneci is back with ukulele holiday tunes.

Merry TubaChristmas 

The public is invited to attend and participate in the 21st annual Cedar Rapids Area Merry TubaChristmas. Participants can register to play a tuba online at CRTubaChristmas.com. Past performances have included nearly 100 tuba players gathering together to perform holiday music. Join us for a festive and fun celebration of the season.
