Feb. 26, 2026 – Winter weather has not slowed progress on the Busse Branch, which is set to open this fall. Spaces are beginning to take clear shape, including staff offices, meeting rooms, and collection areas.

Busse Branch Construction Progress

Busse Branch interior with raised access floor being finalized
Raised access flooring in the collection spaces will allow for future flexibility. Power, data, heating, and cooling all run under the floor and can be adjusted as needed.
meeting rooms will have lots of natural light
The Allsop Conference and Learning Center will offer a much larger selection of meeting spaces for our community, including a 150-seat meeting room which can be divided into two 75-person rooms, and a community room perfect for smaller gatherings. A kitchenette will be accessible to all meeting spaces to use, as well.

Staff offices have drywall, and some cabinetry has been installed. There will be plenty of storage for office supplies and a small Teaming Room for staff members to gather for projects or meetings.

Eleven new study rooms line the main walkway of the building, separating most of the collection space to the north, with the offices and meeting spaces to the south.
