Event Details

Early in-person absentee voting for the Nov. 4 City and School Election will take place at the Downtown Library, on the Mezzanine.

Absentee ballots will be available for voters of all precincts in Linn County. 

Voter registration forms will be available for new Linn County Registrations & registration changes. 

In-Person Absentee “Early” voters must show Voter ID in the same manner as is required on Election Day. 

Approved Voter IDs are: 

  • Iowa Driver’s License or Non-operator ID
  • U.S. Passport, U.S. Military or Veteran’s ID or Tribal ID
  • Iowa “Voter Identification Card” (PIN card) 

Voters without any of those IDs may instead bring:

  • Another type of photo ID with expiration date AND proof of residence.
  • An “Attester” (another registered voter who lives in your precinct, can show Voter ID, and will swear to your identity and place of residence).
