"Founding Mothers" Book Discussion with Iowa Public Radio

Mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with Iowa Public Radio and the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

Host Charity Nebbe and a panel of experts will discuss "Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation" by Cokie Roberts during a taping of the "Talk of Iowa" Book Club. Read about the women who played pivotal roles in our nation's founding but are often written out of history, and join the conversation.

The library's Between the Covers Book Club will also discuss "Founding Mothers" at their meeting at the Downtown Library on Tuesday, June 2, from 10-11 am, and the Book Lovers Book Club will discuss it at Ladd Library on Tuesday, June 9, from 6:30-7:30 pm.
