Request a Loan from Another Library
If an item you are seeking is not available at any library in the Metro Network (Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha or Marion), you may suggest that the library purchase the item for you by completing this form: Purchase Suggestion.
Additionally, we may be able to get it from another library through Interlibrary Loan. Fees may apply.
Making a request for an Interlibrary Loan can be made through the Catalog. To make this request, you need to be logged in with your library card number and pin. When you search for something that the library does not own, you will see the message, “No matches were found in the Metro Library Network. Click here to search and request an interlibrary loan (fees may apply).” If you follow through on this search, the catalog will search the State of Iowa’s online holdings (SILO) and allow you to place a hold on the title that you are looking for.
If you are in need of assistance, please call the Library at 319.261.7323, use the chat feature, or reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org.
