Are you homebound?
You can still use the Cedar Rapids Public Library!
We have a Books-By-Mail program for patrons who are not able to visit the Library because of a temporary or permanent disability. Ask our staff to send you a Reader Profile form so we know what sorts of things you like. You can also request specific books or authors using our Books-By-Mail Request form. You can check out books, books-on-CD, movies, and music.
We keep your library card at the library to use when checking out your material and everything is sent by mail; there is no charge for the program. Items are sent out no more than once a week.
Forms that need to be included: Reader Profile Form and Book by Mail Request Form
Books by mail is a program of the Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library.
Reader Profile Form
The Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library would like to welcome you to the Books-by-Mail program. In order to fill your requests, we need some information on what types of materials you desire. Please complete this form and add any comments that will help us serve you better. This Reader Profile will be kept at the Library and may be changed or updated at any time. We hope you enjoy receiving Books-by-Mail.
