Opportunity Center at Ladd Library hosting vaccination clinic

The Opportunity Center at Ladd Library, 3750 Williams Blvd. SW, is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The free clinic will be Thursday, May 27, 9 am to 5 pm. It is a walk-in clinic, open to anyone ages 18 or older, with no appointment required. It is for the one dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

There is no requirement to produce documents to verify immigration status; however, verification of age may be needed.

Walmart will provide a Spanish interpreter for the day. Those in need of translation services in other languages can make an appointment by calling the Opportunity Center at 319-739-0456 at least one day before the clinic.

The clinic is provided in partnership with Walmart, Linn County Public Health, Urban Dreams, HACAP, the City of Cedar Rapids Iowa Government, the Westdale Area Neighborhood Association, the Opportunity Center, and the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

The Urban Dreams food pantry at Ladd Library will be open at the same time, and people are encouraged to visit the pantry after receiving the vaccine.
