Downtown Library Open Sundays Beginning May 2

The Downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library will open on Sundays 1 pm – 5 pm, beginning May 2, 2021. Patrons are invited to take advantage of these additional hours to access the Library’s Grab and Go services: up to 30 minutes of browsing and materials checkout, or up to 2 hours on a public computer. The Ladd Library remains closed on Sundays at this time.

Friday – Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday, 1 pm – 5 pm

Friday – Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday – CLOSED

Patrons and staff are required to wear a mask at all times when inside the Library. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Capacities are still reduced for safety, and social distancing is required.

Contact-free curbside hold pickup remains available by appointment at both locations. Patrons can make an appointment for curbside hold pickup by visiting CRLibrary.org/curbside-holds and selecting a day and time that is available, or by calling 319.261.READ for staff assistance.

Library book drops are open, additional cleaning procedures are in place throughout the facilities, furniture has been removed, and plexiglass barriers have been installed for safety of staff and patrons.

Public computers are available for up to two hours a day.

Library programs continue to be provided virtually each week. Visit CRLibrary.org/events or our Facebook page, Facebook.com/CRLibrary, for virtual programming. Programs can also be viewed on the Library YouTube channel.
