National Library Week (April 19 – 25, 2020) is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support. This year, the Cedar Rapids Public Library wants to celebrate the Library at Your Place. We are excited to share a special message just for you from award-winning author Matt de la Peña.
Matt de la Peña is the New York Times bestselling, Newbery Medal winning author of seven young adult novels (including Mexican WhiteBoy, We Were Here and Superman: Dawnbreaker) and five picture books (including Last Stop on Market Street and Love).
During this week, we invite you to share your #libraryathome with us via social media. Show us where you are reading, how you are staying connected, and who shares your home library. Maybe it’s your couch, your bedroom, a cozy chair, or even your kitchen table. Wherever you find yourself digging into that good book or discovering a new library resource, share it with us and tag #libraryathome.
While you are exploring, check out our Library at Home webpage for direct access to a variety of digital resources to educate, entertain, and connect you.
