As part of our continued commitment to our community’s health and safety, we are monitoring and responding to guidelines from local and state authorities, as well as working closely with our local municipalities. We are also following communication from the State Library as each day unfolds.
In response to these guidelines, we are announcing two changes that remain in place until further notice:
- We have closed the drop-offs at all Hy-Vee and Cedar Rapids Public Library locations. If you have materials you are ready to return, we ask that you hold onto them.
- All due dates have been extended and we will be waiving fines until we reopen.
- Curbside holds pickup has ended at the Cedar Rapids Public Library.
- Until we reopen to the public, both locations of the Cedar Rapids Public Library will not offer any services on Sundays. This includes phone and e-mail assistance.
During this time, we are also working to increase the availability of online resources and will keep you updated in this regard. Thank you for your patience as we do everything we can to continue to provide you with library service.
