Policy 4.03 - Individual Study Rooms
The library's six individual study rooms are designed to provide a quiet location for study. The rooms may not be reserved. Smoking is not permitted. The maximum occupancy of each study room is two.
- A key to the study room will be issued at the Information Center to a user who presents a Cedar Rapids library card or a valid driver's license for security.
- Each user is responsible for leaving the room in an orderly and clean condition.
- If vandalism occurs to a study room, the user will be responsible for cleaning the room and/or paying for the damage. If the user refuses to do either, the cost of repairing and of cleaning will be added to the user's library card account. If no library account for the user exists, a bill for repairing and/or cleaning will be sent.
- Each of the individual study rooms is equipped to provide modem access to the Internet and World Wide Web. The use of this connection must be for legal and ethical purposes. Although the library does not own the computer equipment used to access these utilities, all computer equipment used in the library is subject to the Computer Usage Rules and Regulations Policy posted in the individual study room.
