Basic Computer Skills, Part 1 This class is for absolute beginners. Learn the basic parts of your computer and how to use a computer mouse. Manage your computer so you can locate and use what is on it. No computer experience is necessary.

Basic Computer Skills, Part 2 Continuing with the basic computer skills learned in Part 1, we will spend time opening programs, saving files, and locating useful items on your computer. No previous computer experience required, but attendance at Basic Computer Skills Part 1 is strongly suggested.

Find it on the Internet Learn how a search engine works, the difference between search engines, features available, and how to formulate searches for best results. Previous computer experience is a must for this class!

Email Basics Learn how to sign up and use Google or Yahoo's free email services. Topics discussed will vary with attendees interests but will include reading, writing and sending email, as well as adding and opening attachments.

Library E-books Learn how to download free e-books from the library onto your computer or e-reader. You do not need to bring or own an e-reader to take this class. Previous computer experience is necessary.

Microsoft Excel 2007, Part 1 This class will be an introduction to Microsoft's Excel 2007 spreadsheet program. This hands-on class will introduce you to Excel's ribbon, cells, rows, columns, functions and basic formulas. Experience with Windows is required.

Find and Apply for Jobs This class is for you if you are reentering the job market, need help setting up an email account, navigating an online job search and application procedure, or just need a refresher course in writing or updating your resume. Sign up to attend this new computer class held Monday mornings in the Technology Center. Library staff will be available to assist you with many of your employment related needs.
