Wireless internet access is available at the Library Technology Center for patrons with a laptop and wireless card. The Library does not provide technical support for the configuration of a patron's laptop. Help for configuring your wireless card is available at the bottom of this page. The library's wireless connection will support any 802.11b or 802.11g wireless card. You will need to configure your wireless card to obtain an IP address via DHCP.
Use the software that came with your card to configure your wireless card. Windows XP and Windows 7 have built-in wireless capability; no extra software is needed other than the wireless card drivers. Your wireless card should detect the wireless access point automatically. The name of the wireless network (SSID) is 'CRPLpublic'. Make sure WEP encryption is disabled or set to none.
