Book Club and Kits

If you are a member of a book club, you’ll be happy to know that Book Club Kits are available for you to check out! Each tote has multiple copies of the same book, enough for each person in your club to read.

In addition to the books, totes may also have large print copies and books-on-CD. The tote gets checked out to one person, who is responsible for seeing that all materials are returned when your club is finished. The kits have a longer circulation period (five weeks) so you usually won’t have to worry about fines before your club meets again.

Book Lovers Club
Meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Sendak room at Cedar Rapids Public Library West.
The group will discuss the following:

April: "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," by Rebecca Skloot - discuss April 10

May: "The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression," by Amity Shlaes - discuss May 8

June: "In Search of the Rose Notes," by Emily Arsenault - discuss June 12

July: "The Slave Tag," by Robert Buckly - discuss July 12
