Getting a library card is easy to do! Fill out the online application and you will receive a temporary library card number good for up to 30 days. Bring proof of address (a utility bill or photo ID, for example) to either CRPL West or Downtown within those 30 days to receive your permanent card. A Metro Library Network Card is an important tool. With your library card you will be able to:

PLEASE NOTE: Cards applied for online will allow access to a limited number of the library's online resources. Please visit the Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, or Marion Library to receive your permanent card within the next thirty days.
Who is eligible?
All residents of Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha and Marion are eligible for a Metro Library Network card. This card is good at all public library locations in the metro area and online!
What will you need?
Adults will be asked to show valid photo identification with proof of current address.

For children under the age of 14 to receive a library card:
The parent/guardian must present valid photo ID and verification of address as listed above.
The parent/guardian must agree to accept responsibility for items checked out on this card.
