If a person's fines reach $20.00, various privileges including borrowing of materials, use of items within the library, and use of iBistro are suspended.

A courtesy reminder is made three times after items are due. If fines are not paid or materials not returned, patron's accounts may be turned over to a collection agency. If an account is referred to a collection agency, there is an additional $10.00 collection fee.

The Code of Iowa Section 714.5 considers materials kept longer than two months prima facie evidence of 'intent to deprive'.

Refunds will be given for lost items that are found and returned in good condition within 6 months of the loss date.
