Library Clubs Offer Various Opportunities to Participate

Whether you are learning the nuances of chess, love to get deep into a game of Scrabble, or are looking for fellow readers, the Cedar Rapids Public Library has a club for you!

The Library offers a variety of clubs and each one is open to anyone who would like to participate.

Chess Club: Meets each Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the Downtown Library

Scrabble Club: Meets each Wednesday at 1 pm at the Ladd Library OR the Last Thursday of each month at the Downtown Library

Book Clubs:
Ladd Library Book Club: Second Saturday of each month at 3:30 pm at the Ladd Library
Book Lovers Club: Second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at the Ladd Library
Women’s Studies Reading Group: Second Thursday of each month at the Downtown Library

There is no fee to join these clubs, nor is there any registration or requirement that you participate on a weekly or monthly basis. Feel free to drop in and check one out, no strings attached.
