David Stark Design (by David Stark) is a treasure of a book for anyone who wants to spend a few dreamy hours ogling seriously cool “art masquerading as a party.”
Stark heads a team of event planners that use ordinary objects (peanut butter jars, bubble wrap…) to create over-the-top installations. The book is full of color saturated photos and simple descriptions of an eclectic mix of events.
There are colorful inflated beach ball walls at a Coney Island Wedding and thousands of postcards tiered into 50-foot chandeliers at a black tie event.
Who knew it could be so much fun to look at parties?
